The Mobile Wellness Centers provide free health and wellness services to underprivileged communities in multiple cities in Southern Africa such as in Johannesburg, Gauteng and East London, Easter Cape.
The Mobile Wellness Center is a faith-based organization designed to bring health and wellness care to the poor and uninsured. These centers travel to multiple areas where access to health care and transportation is difficult.
We provide basic physicals and screenings (e.g., blood pressure, diabetes checks, mental health, TB, etc.); mental health counsel; wound care; education for self-care of chronic diseases (e.g., high blood pressure, diabetes, pain management); nutrition education, health promotion; tobacco cessation support; guidance to community resources; and referral to a doctor or clinic when needed. A central service we provide is that with every consultation, there is a volunteer to pray for each client.
If you would like to be involved in any of our services, from transportation of volunteers to medical assessments and prayer, or if you would like to support us financially, please contact us at jan@mobilewellnesscenters.co.za

The poor and uninsured are often an overlooked people group in society. Jesus cared for this demographic of people, and we are honoured to be able to care for them too.

“I serve with joy at MWC, reflecting God’s love and living out my faith in a practical way, while meeting a vital need for basic healthcare in South Africa,” Thembeka
“I’m drawn to the mobile wellness clinic because I want to make healthcare more accessible to communities and contribute to improving people's lives,” Oratile
“I help with MWC to help build God’s Kingdom, to bring hope, to empower and create agents of change in different communities,” Nyatshiliaganga
Many people we see simply want to be seen, heard, and cared for. If you want to join us in caring for these precious souls that Jesus loves. You will be able to make a difference in their lives.
We like to train people from the community to reach their neighbour. If you want to help your community, you can volunteer, and if you would like to learn more about basic health care, you can take our Community Health Worker training.
"I enjoy helping people and serving at the Mobile Wellness Center offers a very real, immediate way to do that, showing God’s love and care as we serve local communities" - CJ
At a Center that consisted of homeless men, I noticed a lineup near our prayer station. When I asked if I could help them medically, the reply was, “We were seen last week and are fine, but we are here for extra prayer.”
When running a Center among Muslim women, one lady spoke of having a sore throat and difficulty swallowing. We wrote a referral for her to go to the clinic to check her properly due to modesty issues. Using that referral, this lady went to the clinic and was found to have a very large goiter on her neck that would have eventually killed her. She was able to get the care needed to save her life.
One lady we met had very high blood pressure. Upon speaking with her, we found out that there was a change of management in her employment, and she was fearful of losing her job. We gave her lifestyle adjustments to lower her blood pressure and prayed for her to keep her job. When we saw her 3 months later, she reported that she had put into practice the lifestyle adjustments we suggested. Her blood pressure was completely normal! Plus, she was the only person in her work who was able to keep her job.
